By Train to Rome

13 cities - CO2 emissions 200 kg

My second journey took me from Northern Finland through Sweden to Italy. The trip passed through many countries and cities. The return journey took a detour through Vienna and Prague.

Emissions from the trip (in addition to the Vienna detour, a small detour to Bremen)

Train connections 76.8 kg (calculated at 14 grams/km/passenger). In practice, the actual amount can differ significantly based on the specific route segment.

(In Sweden, train traffic emissions are almost negligible. In contrast, some regions in Central Europe experience emissions that exceed the stated 14 g/km).

Bus connections 35.2 kg (26 g/km/passenger as reported by Flixbus).

Total 112 kg

I made this trip April 2, 2023 – April 24, 2023.
