Lugano is located in the middle of the mountains south of the Alps, near the Italian border. Lugano is often called the "Swiss Monte Carlo" and is a popular tourist and financial center. Lugano is the third largest city in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. The city has over 60,000 inhabitants, most of whom speak Italian.

The world's first Eurovision Song Contest was held in Lugano in 1956.
I traveled by train through Lugano from Milan to Stuttgart
This route runs between Italy and Germany through Switzerland, and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB/CFF/FFS) and Germany's Deutsche Bahn (DB) are often its main operators, possibly in cooperation with Italy's Trenitalia. The scenery is truly beautiful.
